Autumn harvest is upon us with the kids back to school, grown-ups back to work, and the colours of the foliage starting to turn.  What have you sown this spring that blossomed over summer and is bearing fruit this fall?

In traditional farming this would be the time of the last harvest, and according to the Farmer’s Almanac, the harvest moon this year falls on September 19, which is Thursday of this week.  What fall traditions does your family cultivate?  Maybe fall is a time to take walks in the newly crisp air and look for frogs underneath bridges, to think about past years with loved ones drinking hot chocolate after a light rain, or simply a celebratory finish to the summer home repairs.

What have you grown over the summer that you will harvest in the fall?  Did you cultivate a new attitude, or take up a new hobby that generated new skills?  Let me know about your summer achievements and fall traditions in the comments below or on facebook.
